I prefer to use metric measurements but my dial gauge is calibrated in inches and I have quoted the actual measurements. For reference 0.001" is equal to 0.0254 mm. It works well, but now that I have the Craftsman lathe up and running the 4 jaw went back on it. I will probably build one of the offset center tools for each of the lathes now.
