Just pull up gently on the front side to pop those 2 loose, then pull up the rear cover to pop the other 2. It will take you 2 seconds. As for putting it back on, I found it easier to put the front pins in first, as you can feel where the holes are. Web22 jul. 2024 · However, I'm a contrarian to the opinions given so far. That screw is needed to keep the filter housing air tight. Any air that enters due to a missing screw would enter the engine unfiltered. My preferred fix would be to remove the broken screw and replace it. (A dealer could supply the correct one for about a buck.)
